CLARITYINVEST™
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short clarifications before you run the intake.
Who typically uses ClarityInvest?
+
Founders and fundraising operators when meetings are not the bottleneck but decisions still diverge afterward.
Founders use it when passes are quiet or inconsistent and feedback doesn’t explain what actually blocked the decision.
Fractional CFOs and fundraising leads use it to pressure-test interpretation before the same retell hardens across funds.
The common need is control over how a story travels once the founder is no longer present.
When is this diagnostic most useful?
+
When investor conversations are active and the internal label hasn’t hardened across the market.
ClarityInvest is designed for the phase where meetings happen, but decisions form elsewhere.
It is most effective before the same compressed retell repeats across multiple funds.
It is less useful pre-product or after the market has broadly passed.
What do you analyze?
+
Your deck or memo as written — the claims, metrics, and framing that will be skimmed and retold internally.
From that material, we extract the signals most likely to survive compression and test how they hold up under a 60–90 second internal skim.
We incorporate contextual updates from the intake and calibration call, and, when available, the investment thesis and pattern preferences of the target fund.
The goal is not a better story, but clarity on which existing signals drive hesitation, stall, or a silent no.
How do you simulate investor interpretation?
+
We model decision constraints, not investor correctness.
We assess how signals are likely to be interpreted under time pressure, comparison, and downside-first reasoning.
The simulation is built from decision-making research and an internal dataset spanning 300+ fundraises and 500+ decks and memos, combined with first-hand IC operator experience.
It tests how written signals behave when they are skimmed, compressed, compared, and debated inside a fund.
How is this different from pitch coaching or individual feedback?
+
Pitch coaching optimizes delivery in the room; ClarityInvest models internal retell and decision compression after.
Pitch coaching changes how you present.
ClarityInvest makes visible how you are judged once the room is closed.
We surface the dominant signals that govern pass, push, or defer outcomes.
What happens after the intake?
+
We assess fit and confirm whether a diagnostic is appropriate at this stage.
If it is, you receive a link to book a short calibration call to align on scope and decision context.
You then send the agreed materials, and within 72 hours receive your fundraising diagnostic.
You also get up to two update passes during the course of the raise, if signals or context materially change.
Who is behind ClarityInvest?
+
Operators who have raised capital and sat inside investment committees.
The diagnostic is already used privately by EU VC-backed teams and fundraising operators.
The work is informed by direct founder experience and repeated observation of how IC decisions actually form.
ClarityInvest is run by www.silvercompass.io.
How much does it cost?
+
ClarityInvest is scoped to decision context, not sold as a fixed package.
Pricing depends on material volume and how many funds or fund archetypes are included (typically 2–5).
Typical ranges are low to mid five-figures investment depending on scope.
Scope and cost are always confirmed before any work begins.
